Reported Speech: Orders and Advice | الأوامر والنصائح المنقولة – توجيهي

 نستخدم الافعال tell و advise لنقل الاوامر والتعليمات ونستخدم الفعل warned بمعنى حذر عند نقل الجمل المنفية اي الجمل التي تحتوي على “not”

e.g:

“You should save some money for the future.” مباشر

My father told me to save money for the future. غير مباشر

“You’d better do the homework.”

The teacher advised us to do the homework

مثبتة Told/Advised + to + infinitive

منفية Told/Advised/Warned + not + to + infinitive

Warned لا تأتي إلا منفية

• “It’s a good idea to study early in the morning.”

My mother told me to study early in the morning.

• “Don’t eat junk food” نفي

The doctor warned me not to eat junk food.

أول خطوة للحل هي تحديد الفعل ومن ثم اضافة to قبله وتكملة الجملة.

•  “You shouldn’t waste time doing nothing”

The coach warned us not to waste time doing nothing.

•  “It’s not a good idea to sleep full”

The doctor told me not to sleep full

•  “You’d better study hard before exams”

The teacher told his students to study hard before exams.

  Told/ Advised/ Warned + that + Past Form

• Can – could

“Remember that the value of investment can go down.”

A financial expert told me that the value of investment could go down.

• Be (is/are/am) – was/were

“It’s not a good idea to sleep full”

The doctor warned me that it was not a good idea to sleep full. 

• اذا رأينا في الجملة that ننزل الجملة من بعدها

“You should be aware that students can cheat easily in online exams”

The principal warned his teachers that students could cheat easily in online exams

• أما إن لم يكن فيها that ننزل الجملة من بدايتها

 “You should avoid making mistakes.”

His father told him that he should avoid making mistakes.
