?What is Reflexive Pronoun

• Reflexive pronouns are often used when the action described by the verb is directed toward the thing referred to by the subject of the verb.

ضمائر تحل محل المفعول به لتصف فعل يعود على الفاعل من الفعل في نفس الجملة سواء كان الفاعل ضمير أو اسم مثل:

I cut myself when I was making dinner last night.

-Did you hurt yourself?

Emphasizing I استخدام الضمائر الانعكاسية للتوكيد

• صنعت الكعك بنفسها ==> She herself made the cakes
• هل حل المسألة بنفسه؟ ==> Did he solve the problem himself?
• اشتريته بنفسي ==> I bought it myself
• قاد ساجي السيارة بنفسه ==> Saji drove the car himself
• She did the work herself.

اشتقاق الضمائر الإنعكاسية

تشتق الضمائر الإنعكاسية بإضافة المقطع (self) للمفرد و (selves) للجمع و  تكتب كلمة واحدة

We	ourselves
You	ـyourselves للجمع
They	themselves

استخدام  by / for مع الضمائر الانعكاسية

نستخدم حرف الجر (by/ for + الضمير الإنعكاسي) إذا كان أحدهم قام بشيء لوحده بدون أي مساعدة كما في المثال

I always do the laundry by myself

لا يمكن استخدامهم  مع الضمائر الانعكاسية إلا في حالة أنك تريد أن تبين لأحدهم أن هذا الشخص قام بفعل معين بعينه أو بنفسه بدون مساعدة من أحد

By= بمفرده-وحيدا

For= لا يعتمد على احد/ من اجل نفسه/ لمصلحته

مثلاHe lives by himself= هو يعيش وحيدا

He answered the question by himself أجاب بمفرده – بدون مساعدة

Enjoy yourself = have a good time

Behave yourself = be good

She lives by herself = she lives alone

I like being by myself = I like being alone
